JWFI is a growing metal manufacturing company, expanding into defense & other markets with long-term work, and we’re looking to interview CNC Machinists at all levels (including experienced Machine Operators) to join the team at our Woodvale machining and welding facility.

Our highly skilled machinists perform set up and operations, working side by side with the Quality Department to ensure exacting tolerances are held, quality parts are shipped, and on-time delivery dates are met.

Essential Duties:
Our Machinists must be safety-minded to contribute to the amazing safety record of the facility. Top quality work and attention to detail is essential to meet customer requirements, as well as the ability to work with time-critical projects and frequently changing production needs.

Machinists will need knowledge/experience reading drawings and blueprints to determine critical part information and experience with part inspection and related hand tools/precision measuring devices.

JWF produces a wide variety of parts and components used by companies in the commercial market as well as defense industry giants such as BAE, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and others. This is a critical role that will be responsible for directing, planning and implementing activities related to all aspects of supply chain management throughout 1,000,000 square feet of metal manufacturing space across four state-of-the-art facilities in the Johnstown, PA area.
The successful candidate will leverage their manufacturing industry knowledge and supply chain management skills to manage purchasing and supply chain. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to advance while being trained and mentored by the VP of Supply Chain.

• Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation

Instructor demonstrations of basic welding techniques using Gas Arc Welding (GMAW) and practice by the new hires in basic Oxyacetylene and Arc welding. The new hires will practice flame cutting, gas and arc welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions; may learn Tungsten-Arc Inert Gas (TIG) and Shielded Metal: Arc Welding (SMAW).

Must be available for all shifts.


Education Level: High school diploma or GED; completion of a weld training program preferred

Experience: Previous steady solid experience in construction or manual labor positions are preferred.

Project Managers will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of project(s) to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

-Review project proposal to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
-Outline work plan and assigns personnel requirements, duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
-Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project is on schedule and within budget
-Create and review status reports and modify schedules and plans as required

Verifies dimensional size of materials such as plates, structural shapes, castings, weldments and assemblies. Successful candidate will train on and learn our CMM, Faro Arm, and Laser Tracker equipment.

Essential Duties:
Primary accountability is in support of projects to assure quality parts to the customer.
Will facilitate problem-solving and issue resolution through formal documentation; experience managing projects, performing data analysis, improving work processes is necessary.

Education Level: Minimum of an Associates' degree preferred (in a related field)

Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers is required.
Strong GD&T training/experience preferred.
A familiarity with sophisticated inspection equipment (CMM and FARO) is highly desired.

TIG Welder

Summary of Duties: Fits and welds fabricated and metal components to manufacture weldments and sub-assemblies or related components using FCAW, GMAW or Aluminum processes by performing the following duties. Has the ability to weld most sub-assemblies in production and fit and/or weld on most jigs for all production requirements. Also has the ability to build assemblies from blue prints.

Essential Duties:
These weld positions will lay out, fit, and weld steel and aluminum fabricated components to manufacture weldments and sub-assemblies utilizing established ASME welding processes. Candidate will be all-position certified, steel and/or aluminum qualified, able to interpret complex blueprints & weld symbols and fit/weld according to print.



Welds on medium and/or large fabrications in a jig fixture. Welds on large fabrication projects in multiple positions that may include but not limited to overhead, flat, and/or horizontal Must understand blue-prints and weld symbols with the ability to build weldment from prints. Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding according to blue-prints. Properly sets up and adjust welding machine and various equipment as needed. Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Assembles parts by bolting and riveting. Repairs parts by grinding, dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.


Education Level: Vocational school or associate’s degree in field preferred, but not required

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
