JWFI is a growing metal manufacturing company, expanding into defense & other markets with long-term work, and we’re looking to interview CNC Machinists at all levels (including experienced Machine Operators) to join the team at our Woodvale machining and welding facility.

Our highly skilled machinists perform set up and operations, working side by side with the Quality Department to ensure exacting tolerances are held, quality parts are shipped, and on-time delivery dates are met.

Essential Duties:
Our Machinists must be safety-minded to contribute to the amazing safety record of the facility. Top quality work and attention to detail is essential to meet customer requirements, as well as the ability to work with time-critical projects and frequently changing production needs.

Machinists will need knowledge/experience reading drawings and blueprints to determine critical part information and experience with part inspection and related hand tools/precision measuring devices.

This position will analyze technical documentation to prepare material cost and labor estimates to be used for planning/organizing/scheduling work and preparing bids. This is a high-visibility, salaried-level position.

Essential Duties: The successful candidate must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as machining blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents.

Experience:
Work requires a minimum of 1 year related estimating experience in a manufacturing/production environment. A minimum of 5 years of experience with an understanding of the estimating process may also be considered

JWF Industries, a certified small business and privately owned manufacturer, is seeking Project Managers for both commercial and defense market projects. Position(s) will be based in Johnstown, PA.
Project Managers will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of project(s) to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Essential Duties:
-Review project proposal to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
-Outline work plan and assigns personnel requirements, duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
-Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project is on schedule and within budget
-Create and review status reports and modify schedules and plans as required
-Prepare project reports for management, client, and other stakeholders

This position utilizes process improvement and process techniques, within a commercial and defense metal fabrication environment, to develop, implement, update, and review appropriate supplier metrics (quality, on-time delivery, etc.).
The successful candidate will bring excellent communication and teamwork skills with both internal and external customers and suppliers to develop proactive strategies to reduce rejections and improve product quality and on time delivery.

-Develop, and lead, supplier quality improvement programs
-Perform process audits and inspections at supplier locations
-Flow down quality requirements to suppliers and ensure suppliers are qualified to perform functions
-Review inspection data such as material certifications and first article inspections; will also disposition non-conforming product
-Provide regular status reports to supply chain management regarding supplier quality and delivery

Education Level: BS in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or equivalent/relevant experience

Summary of Duties:
Verifies dimensional size of materials such as plates, structural shapes, castings, weldments and assemblies. Successful candidate will train on and learn our CMM, Faro Arm, and Laser Tracker equipment.

Primary accountability is in support of projects to assure quality parts to the customer.
Will facilitate problem-solving and issue resolution through formal documentation; experience managing projects, performing data analysis, improving work processes is necessary.

Education Level: Minimum of an Associates' degree preferred (in a related field)

Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers is required.
Strong GD&T training/experience preferred.
A familiarity with sophisticated inspection equipment (CMM and FARO) is highly desired.

-Will load, unload, and move materials within or near production area(s), yard, or work site at our Iron Street location

-Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or using fork truck
-Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
-Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together

TIG Welder

Summary of Duties: Fits and welds fabricated and metal components to manufacture weldments and sub-assemblies or related components using FCAW, GMAW or Aluminum processes by performing the following duties. Has the ability to weld most sub-assemblies in production and fit and/or weld on most jigs for all production requirements. Also has the ability to build assemblies from blue prints.

Essential Duties:
These weld positions will lay out, fit, and weld steel and aluminum fabricated components to manufacture weldments and sub-assemblies utilizing established ASME welding processes. Candidate will be all-position certified, steel and/or aluminum qualified, able to interpret complex blueprints & weld symbols and fit/weld according to print.



Welds on medium and/or large fabrications in a jig fixture. Welds on large fabrication projects in multiple positions that may include but not limited to overhead, flat, and/or horizontal Must understand blue-prints and weld symbols with the ability to build weldment from prints. Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding according to blue-prints. Properly sets up and adjust welding machine and various equipment as needed. Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Assembles parts by bolting and riveting. Repairs parts by grinding, dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.


Education Level: Vocational school or associate’s degree in field preferred

Experience: 1-3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
