Welds on large fabrication projects in multiple positions that may include but not limited to overhead, flat, and/or horizontal Must understand blue-prints and weld symbols with the ability to build weldment from prints. Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding according to blue-prints. Properly sets up and adjust welding machine and various equipment as needed. Summary of Duties: The Welding Instructor is responsible to develop and implement the appropriate curriculum to instruct new & existing employees in current welding skills specific to JWF Industries. Essential Duties: The Instructor will provide formal supervision and training to individual employees regarding new welding techniques and requirements related to specific welding procedures associated with new production line products.

Guides the learning process toward achievement of JWFI objectives and curriculum goals, and establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and can effectively communicate these objectives.
Maintains an individual educational plan for each employee; submits an individual progress report of the skills achieved. Will be responsible to assess each individual employee’s performance and provide documentation to the Workforce Development Coordinator.
The Instructor must be willing to continue their education to enhance their skills and keep up to date with the latest trends in the welding industry.

Education Level: Certified Welding Educator credentials and/or degree in Welding/Fabrication preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of work experience directly related to the welding trade is required, with previous instruction/teaching experience. Computer skills are required.
